Suranne Jones

Sarah Anne Jones, better popularly known as Suranne Jones, is an actor and producer from England. The Suranne Jones character is an actor and producer from the UK. She gained fame playing Ruth Slater, the detective in a police procedural 'Scott & Bailey and in addition to Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama "Doctor Foster.' Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. When she was just eight she began performing in a play called 'Wait Till Dark. In the play, she portrayed Gloria. In 1997, she made her debut on screen in a 'Coronation Street' episode. In 2000, she was reintroduced in the soap to play Karen McDonald. Then, she was cast in several TV roles, including 'Vincent,"Strictly Confidential," and 'Harley Street.' She has also appeared on the big screen in films such as "Love and A Long Shot"Broken Hearts," and 'A Christmas star.
