In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate "Lorna" Morello In the film Orange Is the New Black. Yael completed her studies at NIDA. Yael has been fortunate to be able from an early age to have worked with the best storytellers and performers in Australia along with creative directors working in the television, film and theatre industry. Yael is a well-known actress throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new location in New York City when the production was acclaimed in The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery supports innovative writing, and creative endeavors in its Bushwick studio.
